ABOUT ME

HI, I am Robyn, founder and creator of BeautiFLEX®.

I am passionate about movement and believe that it is not only a precious gift but it is also ESSENTIAL to a long, healthy life. When we stop moving, we stop living. I simply enjoy helping others regain their flexibility, improve their mobility, and free their body to beautiful movement.

When people see me, they can tell that I have had extensive dance training even though I am now retired. So how did this former dancer get so literally bent out of shape and misaligned that I could barely touch my toes, suffered from frequent low back pain, locked hips, and bouts of low performance energy?

The Problem

The reality is I know the sophicating feeling of being inflexible and trapped in my body, unable to move freely. Ahhhh… I too fell prey to the modern, sedentary lifestyle. Slowly and insidiously it can wreak havoc on the body, including stiffness, and aches and pains.

In my case after grad school, I went straight into Corporate America where I would sit for prolonged hours at my desk, in meetings, in my daily commute, and international business travel. It so easy to fill up your day with lifeless, sitting activities. Gradually the sluggishness, stiffness, aches and pains set in.

The SOLUTION

The truth is if you adopt a sedentary lifestyle and don’t exercise regularly, you will gradually lose your flexibility and range of motion. The GOOD NEWS is that YOU CAN regain your functional flexibility and noticeably improve your mobility by just practicing a CONSISTENT and proper flexibility training program.

That’s what happened for me. After over a decade of Corporate America, I decided to regain my flexibility, mobility and strength and began moving more in my life once again. I picked up an old passion that I enjoyed in my youth, ballet. I never intended to get back dancing full force again…And initially eager to make progress quickly, I got injured and sidelined several times. Ouch…

However, on my journey, I learned the importance of alignment, eating right, flexibility training and cross training for strength. Learning this holistic approach to flexibility and mobility got me quickly back in the game of dance and gave me the staying power to move freer, feel stronger, and in more control of my body.

Several years later, after retiring from performing, and gaining knowledge of the power of the breath, I am still experiencing the benefits of the combination of these techniques and disciplines. As I do them, they keep me moving with grace and confidence in my daily activities.

It is for this reason I created BeautiFlex® to share my cocktail recipe of exercises and health tips that have been truly effective in coaching me back to health and keeping me moving and doing what I love to do. Here at BeautiFLEX® you will find a holistic approach to flexibility and mobility that uniquely integrates all the key components for success – breath, food, alignment, and proper flexibility training – so you can achieve your goals safely and relatively quickly.

I am a NASM-certified personal trainer, an ACE-certified health coach, and an advanced breathwork instructor (Oxygen Advantage®-certified) and have worked with all age groups from teenagers to octogenarians. I cut through the clutter of information to give people direct, simple, and proven solutions that will help them move with greater ease and flexibility. .
